Walking With Faith

Look around you. What do you see? Grocery prices are soaring, fuel prices remain high, and energy bills are outrageous. Bill collectors seem to be everywhere. Where do we go from here? Should we buy groceries to feed our families or pay the electric bill? Life presents us with a series of decisions, and it is our responsibility to make the right choices. In a world that often feels overwhelming, we must find the strength to navigate these challenges. It’s a struggle between faith and adversity, but we can find reassurance that God will provide for all our needs.

Faith is a powerful force. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, faith is believing in what we cannot see. Do you trust that God will meet your needs? The King James Version of the Bible, Philippians 4:19, tells us, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." This scripture boldly affirms that God will provide. Is faith alone enough? Many say they have faith in God’s promises. However, walking in faith is essential to receiving His gifts. Open your heart to God and proceed according to His will.

Instructions on how to walk by faith can be found in Matthew 17:19-21, where it reads, "Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could we not cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, 'Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.'" This scripture resonates deeply with today’s struggles.
